Carrots and DC Shoes Debut Reflective 3M Footwear

LA-based imprint Carrots and OG skate brand DC Shoes have announced a joint capsule featuring new skate shoes and apparel. As heritage luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton continue to borrow design cues from retro skate brands, a native revival has been long overdue. While aesthetically left-field, the upcoming footwear release from DC Shoes looks to be the most promising in recent memory.
Highlighted in the collection is the DC Lynx silhouette dressed in Anwar Carrots’ signature colors. The two-tone pairs are dipped in unmissable bright orange hues from top to bottom with green inner lining. 3M uppers feature gold eyelets and a metallic DC logo on the laterals while semi-translucent soles display DC’s classic pill-shaped traction. Bird’s Nest Workshop has also teased Black/Orange” and “White” pairs that are set to release on the same date, and accompanying apparel features co-branded snapbacks, sweatsuits, and hoodies in black and orange.
The upcoming Carrts x DC Shoes collaboration is set to release January 13-15 at Bird’s Nest Workshop in Los Angeles. An online release has yet to be announced.
