The rugged dust and mud-resistant watch, which is designed to survive in the toughest environments, has also been re-configured to come in 1.9mm slimmer than previous versions.
Forged carbon is often used in aircraft and motorsports as it is lighter than stainless steel, with a superior tensile strength. The irregular mixture of carbon fibres and resin has been used to form the entire mid-section of the case, including the lugs and guard claws, that protect the watch’s metal bezel and crown.
New reworked Mud Resist buttons are also used throughout for improved resistance to the elements. Other features include a radio wave timekeeping, digital compass, barometer, altimeter, thermometer, world time, stopwatch, countdown and five independent alarms.
The new Mudmaster GWG-2000 trio is presented in a choice of monochrome gray, military-look khaki, and sand beige and will drop in October via G-SHOCK, priced £699 GBP (approximately $967 USD).
