The 'KAWS FAMILY' Set Saw a Global Release
A complete gathering of the ‘COMPANION,’ ‘WHAT PARTY’ and ‘BFF.’
Following the “KAWS TOKYO FIRST” large-scale exhibition, KAWS teased a global release for the limited edition family set which sold out in less than a day. In June, the American pop artist featured 150 works which included interactive experiences, augmented reality, and the artist’s private collection at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo which included a raffle of highly-coveted products.
Brian Donnelly took to Instagram to post about the drop of the KAWS FAMILY 2021, which includes two varied sizes of the COMPANION, one CHUM Michelin Man in kid form with the other as a baby and the largest being the BFF in blue. The tallest figure measures 13.5 inches in height.
The family set launched on KAWS’ official website on Monday and is now sold out.
