Converse Addict has debuted the first pairs from its Holiday 2021 collection: a Jack Purcell collaboration with Richardson and two special takes on the Chuck Taylor All Star. An arm of Converse Japan that focuses on high-quality reconstructions of archival styles and limited collaborations, Addict’s latest offering is full of original details, elevated materials and much more.
The Jack Purcell created by Andrew Richardson‘s Richardson is the key piece of the collection. Though it may appear to be a simple low-top canvas sneaker, it’s in fact lined with GORE-TEX to repel inclement winter weather. Apart from its hidden detail, it features a classic black and white color scheme with a Richardson logo stamped on the lateral midfoot. There’s also a high-cut Chuck Taylor with white and black “stars and stripes” graphics on its upper and tongue, respectively, and a low-top Chuck Taylor in classic white, red and blue that features an alternate tumbled leather upper. All three pairs also supply other premium embellishments like Vibram outsoles and special Poron-cushioned insoles.
Look for the Converse Addict holiday 2021 collection to begin rolling out at Converse Addict stores in Japan over the coming weeks. If you’re outside of Japan and looking to score a pair you’ll need to hit eBay or use a proxy service.
