Rich Gang Has Returned With a New Track From Birdman and Young Thug
Titled “Blue Emerald.”
Rich Gang is back. The famous group’s return is marked by a new single with Birdman and Young Thug titled “Blue Emerald.” The upbeat track showcases Young Thug’s rap prowess as he slithers throughout the song’s verses with slippery melodies.
The video showcases Young Thug and Birdman riding through a city tunnel in a white Rolls Royce Cullinan with a star-filled roof. As the Atlanta-rapper lays down his verses, the video flips through scenes featuring the Rolls Royce, dancing women, a studio and an all-white room shot with a fishbowl lens.
“This is what y’all have been waiting for,” Birdman, co-founder of Rich Gang said in a press release. “Me and Thugger are back together, and ‘Blue Emerald’ is just the beginning. This is the next era of Rich Gang. It starts now.”
The new single leads the return of the hip-hop and rap group. One of the group’s pivotal songs, “Tap Out,” which featured Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Birdman, Future and Mack Maine was certified gold. The song was also on the Billboard Hot 100 and made the top 10 of the Billboard Top 200. The song was followed by the multiplatinum single “Lifestyle,” which featured Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan and Birdman was released in 2014.
