Engineered Garments Has Its Say on HOKA ONE ONE’s Bondi L Silhouette
Reimagined in four unique animal-inspired iterations.
HOKA ONE ONE and Engineered Garments are collaborating again this season, focusing on the former’s lifestyle-centric Bondi L silhouette.
The pair — who have previously linked up for takes on the Bondi B, Tor Ultra Low and the Hupana — now turn their attention to the oversized Bondi L, tweaking it with the inspiration of creating a formal running shoe.
Retaining its maximal-cushion meta-rocker for a smooth ride, the Bondi L fuses well-crafted materials with unique animal print patterns, resulting in four elevated styles including “Black Cow Hair”, “Simply Taupe Cow Hair”, “Sand Leopard Print” and “Brown Croc Print”.
“For this design, I wanted to merge some of the staple elements of past Engineered Garments’ shoe and boot collaborations into a sneaker,” explained Daiki Suzuki, Founder and Creative Director of Engineered Garments.
“With the functionality and comfort of the Bondi L, I found it to be an open canvas and the perfect silhouette for this project,” he continued. “I enjoyed the idea of utilizing prints like leopard and crocodile and adding texture by materializing them with calf hair and suede”.
The HOKA ONE ONE x Engineered Garments Bondi L will be available for £170 (approximately $235 USD) from August 19 via the likes of Goodhood, 18Montrose and more.
