Emirates is no stranger to far-out television commercials, but its latest release took things to the next level as a member of its cabin crew stood at the tip of the world famous Burj Khalifa.

Standing at an impressive 828 metres, the Burj Khalifa — which is said to have cost approximately $1.5 billion USD to build — is the world’s tallest building and has been since it opened in 2009, and with much of the world resuming its travels following the outbreak of COVID-19, Emirates welcome potential visitors from its peak.

The 30-second clip begins with a member of its cabin crew holding various welcoming messages, before the camera pans out to reveal her standing at the tip of the iconic landmark. Joining only a handful of individuals who have had the privilege to stand at the pinnacle of the world’s tallest building — including Tom Cruise and the Crown Prince of Dubai — Emirates takes us behind-the-scenes of how the daring advert was put together, from start to finish.

The behind the scenes edit can be viewed above while the original ad itself can be viewed here.
