Dr. Pepper looks to make this NFL season a bit more interesting as it announces the latest “FANtastic Chocolate” soda. Earlier in the year, the Texas-originated soda brand launched a sugar-free line of their soft drink in three flavors.

As the name suggests, the new flavor is a fusion of Dr. Pepper and chocolate housed in a burgundy-colored can decorated with chocolate sauce and footballs. The catch is that these special edition cans won’t be stocking shelves, but instead, fans are able to get a pack by scanning their proof of purchase QR code on any Dr. Pepper items.

From there they are to create a “Pepper Perks” account and reach a certain number of points in order to be eligible for receiving the new flavor until supplies last. With this promotion, a lucky winner will get a chance to win a trip to the College Football Playoff National Championship along with redeemable Dr. Pepper branded merch.

In case you missed it, PepsiCo and The Boston Beer Company are launching a new HARD MTN DEW.
