Trek Bicycle Debuts Kaleidoscopic 'First Light' Colorway Ahead of the 2021 Olympics
Over 50 elite athletes will ride the custom bike during the 2021 Games.
Trek Bicycle — a global cycling product manufacturer known for its innovative and socially responsible approach to bike design — has revamped its customization program with an all-new colorway for its premium Project One ICON collection.
Dubbed “First Light,” the new paint job enlists a kaleidoscopic melding of blue, pink, gold and red under a purple-tinged logo, all of which is “inspired by the land of the rising sun,” according to a release.
The new paint job arrives ahead of the 2021 Olympic Games — slated to commence on Friday, July 23 in Tokyo — where over 50 elite athletes will race on Trek’s Project One First Light bicycles during the Games’ various cycling races.
Project One allows athletes the freedom to customize their ideal road, mountain, triathlon or electric bike with a multitude of bespoke, premium paint schemes. First Light is the latest to join the roster, which also consists of Seafoam, Psychedelic Marble, Amplified Alchemy, Sweet Gold Leaf and several other previously conceived designs.
Trek’s First Light design is now available to purchase on the brand’s Madone SLR, Émonda SLR and Supercaliber bike models on the company’s website.
