Martine Rose Creates a Mismatched Wardrobe for FW21
Using the collection to explore various ideas rather than focus on a single theme.

London-based label Martine Rose has returned with a Fall/Winter 2021 collection inspired by jumbled and miss-matched personal wardrobes. The collection features a range of Martine Rose motifs and calling cards, all of which have been used to explore various ideas rather than focus on a single theme.
The mixing of these ideas runs throughout the collection, as an oversized football jersey is worn alongside red leather trousers, while trouser-chaps are constructed using diamante-embellished denim or leather. Elsewhere, Martine Rose introduces “the innuendo of naffness” through the use of crushed velvet and velour, satin and faux snakeskin, and the label expands the punk influence of its Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
A further introduction for this season is the focus on traditional tailoring techniques, many of which are used on casual items. Stand-outs include tailored cargo trousers and tracksuits designed with boxy shoulders and slight flares.
