Thundercat Announces North American Tour Dates

Thundercat is set to tour his critically acclaimed fourth studio album, It Is What It Is, this fall in North America. Concert tours are slowly creeping back into normal life, so it only makes sense that now is the time to tour the album which won Best Progressive R&B Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

To date, this will be one of Thundercat’s largest headlining shows as he’s set to tour over 20 cities. Channel Tres, American singer and rapper, will be the opening act in addition to other special guests set to appear throughout the tour. Even though initial engagement and touring of the album were cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, the work was met with widespread acclaim.

Thundercat will make his live return alongside Flying Lotus on June 12 at the Hollywood Bowl amphitheater in Los Angeles where the two will put on a free concert dedicated to frontline and essential workers. Following this concert, the It Is What It Is tour begins at the end of July. Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, June 11.
