Born x Raised Celebrate the LA Lakers and Dodgers' 2020 Championships With a "City of Champs" Capsule
Hoodies, tees and a hat are included in the exclusive collection.
2020 was certainly a tumultuous year that was governed by the COVID-19 pandemic, but for LA sports fans, it was quite the successful one as the LA Lakers and Dodgers both racked up championship victories. And to celebrate this wondrous achievement for the SoCal city, LA-based label Born x Raised has unveiled its celebratory and exclusive “City of Champs” apparel collection that commemorates both of its hometown squads.
“At the end of 2020, the Dodgers and Lakers championships brought energy and hope to our city after a long year in lockdown. The championships are something we will celebrate for a long time, and Born x Raised is the first official partner to bring both teams together”, says Spanto, co-founder of Born x Raised. “We are excited to be doing something that has never been done, again.”
Included in this capsule is a range of two tees, two hooded sweatshirts and a New Era fitted cap. All of the pieces are adorned with the logos of each LA team, as well as the words “Los Angeles 2020 Champions Born x Raised” written out in the streetwear imprint’s signature font that splits between blue and yellow lettering. The backside of the apparel pieces gets even more playful as palm tree graphics, icons of the Larry O’ Brien and Commissioner’s Trophies, NBA and MLB logos and more are present.
The Born x Raised web store will be dropping this “City of Champs” assemblage on June 9 and prices will range from $55-$140 USD.
