Story mfg. Mixes Old Classics With New Techniques for SS22
Continuing its exploration of craft and natural dyeing.

U.K.-based Story mfg. has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2022 collection, reworking past motifs and continuing its exploration of craft and new techniques. Stand-out themes for this season include a focus on hand-knit items, as well as pieces produced using block printing and batik.
The hand-knitted pieces — from cardigans and sweaters to vests and accessories — sport a number of Story mfg. design touches including fruit and vegetable-inspired embroidery. Many of these items also recall pieces from previous collections, with a new knitted sweatshirt recreation of the label’s “Number 1. Best Planet” T-shirt.
Elsewhere, pieces feature hand-embroidered trees, peace signs and flowers in a nod to 1970ss-style naive handiwork, while popular items from other Story mfg. collections such as the Polite Pullover line and Peace Pants return for SS22. One key item is a patchwork jacket, which incorporates patterns and prints from earlier releases.
