Nike's React SFB Carbon Is Both Tactical and Practical
Available in both high and low-top iterations, it combines a boot-like construction with a cushy React midsole and carbon fiber plate technology.
Nike‘s military-inspired SFB line produces footwear and accessories that sit somewhere between Nike ACG, Nike Running and Nike Sportswear — stylish silhouettes and accoutrements that are equally at home on the trails as they are in the streets. Now, SFB is back with a new hiking boot/running shoe hybrid dubbed the React SFB Carbon, a tactical and practical design that was manufactured in both high and low-top versions.
Two tonal colorways have been produced: “Coyote” and “Black/Anthracite.” The high and low top versions are identical, save for the cut of the collar, of course, and are loaded with tech from top to bottom. Water-resistant uppers are made of ballistic mesh that’s bolstered with taped seams, a rubberized Swoosh and a scuff guard toe cap. Collars feature extra padding, and insoles supply an ACG-esque topographical map. Down below, a full-length React midsole offers plush cushioning that contains a signature carbon plate to aid with support and responsiveness. A BRS rubber outsole with an all-terrain traction pattern that Nike describes as “aggressive” complete the look.
The Nike React SFB Carbon and React SFB Carbon Low are set to release on the Nike webstore in the coming days. The high-top iteration is priced at $165 USD and the low-top iteration at $140 USD.
