ICECREAM Kicks Off ICECREAM DREAMS Initiative to Support Skaters of Color
By signing new team members to the ICECREAM roster and releasing exclusive collaborative products to shine a light on smaller brands.

ICECREAM is revisiting its skateboarding roots, kicking off an ICECREAM DREAMS initiative that aims to support and amplify skaters of color within the skateboarding community. The first efforts towards this goal come via the signing of two new skaters to the ICECREAM skate team — Andre Beverley and Daniel Scales — and an inaugural collaborative product: a T-shirt created with Indiana skate shop Minus.
Available in yellow, black and cream, ICECREAM and Minus’ collaborative T-shirt uses simple-yet-effective co-branded details. A large ICECREAM text hit is present on the chest, below which sits a vertical Minus spellout logo. Each tee also features a printed tag, and is made of 100 percent cotton. Besides the construction, there’s another 100 percent factor at play: namely that 100 percent of proceeds from the tee will go to Minus.
ICECREAM DREAMS is the latest piece in the brand’s long skate lineage. Skate and streetwear fans may remember the ICECREAM Skate Team, a Pharrell-backed squad from the ’00s that was spotlighted in the famous Team Ice Cream Vol. 1 film from 2006 and boasted a roster of skate legends like Terry Kennedy and Jimmy Gorecki.
The ICECREAM x Minus t-shirt is available exclusively via Minus’ store — located at 622 S Rangeline Road, Suite F, Carmel IN 46032. Each is priced at $50 USD.
