All Disney+ Original Series to Permanently Premiere on Wednesdays After 'Loki' Triumph
Meaning that upcoming shows like ‘The Mandalorian’ will be released earlier in the week.

Disney+ is permanently moving up the release day of its original series from Fridays to Wednesdays, thanks to the record-breaking series premiere of Loki.
According to sources, Disney+ is making this move to “accommodate the increased volume of original content” on the streamer. It will only affect its original series like The Mandalorian and other Marvel TV shows; original movies will still premiere on Fridays.
Loki is now the platform’s most-watched series premiere after its release date was moved up to Wednesday, June 9 from Friday, June 11. Reports point out that its predecessors, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, had to fight for the weekend viewing numbers with other big streamers. In the case of Loki, its early premiere allowed it to grab the undivided attention of viewers while Netflix, Hulu and Apple TV+ all battled it out on the weekend of June 11 with the premieres of Lupin, Love, Victor and Home Before Dark respectively.
