UPDATE: Gucci has replied with a response on the rumor, denying its involvement:

“Despite speculations, Gucci clarifies that the House is not involved in the project to create a new collection for Real Madrid football club.”

According to reports, adidas and Gucci are set to collide for a Real Madrid CF collection. Expected to mark the Spanish professional football club’s 2022-2023 La Liga season, the special range is expected to feature a mix of iconic elements from the German sportswear giant and Italian luxury fashion house.

Rumored to launch summer 2022, leaks reveal a take on Gucci’s signature GG monogram print reimagined with Real Madrid’s crest. While the color scheme builds on Real Madrid’s navy base with white contrast details but alternative colorways are expected to be part of the release. There is also potential for adidas x Gucci to prepare some form of on-pitch uniforming though it is unclear if the sets could be worn during an actual match.

Stay tuned for more information but expect the adidas x Gucci Real Madrid CF collection to be unveiled sometime May/June 2022.
