Versace’s “La Vacanza” Is a Lesson in Seaside Luxury

A campaign designed to spread “a little Versace glamour”.

Versace has showcased this season’s plethora of Greca-adorned summer-ready essentials with the launch of its latest mini-campaign: La Vacanza.

The Italian luxury house — who last month released its elegant pair of pool slides — now takes us on a journey to glamorous seaside locations to flaunt its latest offering, comprising everything from Greca-covered swim shorts and silk shirts, to travel bags and pool towels.

“With this shoot I wanted to create something fun that captures the spirit of a vacation. We all miss travel,” said Donatella Versace on the campaign. “We miss the excitement of being somewhere different, of meeting with friends and sharing experiences. These images are about enjoying life and feeling free, they encapsulate that summertime feeling of endless possibilities.”

Shot on location by Camille Summers-Valli, this series of playful and optimistic visuals are said to have been captured to spread “a little Versace glamour” throughout the season — something we could all certainly do with.

Accompanying the campaign is a short video diary that can be seen below, in which models recall how they spent their respective summers, with flashbacks revealing something a little different from the truth.

In other news, General Admission has tapped the Los Angles creative community to showcase its SS21 collection.
