Rick Owens and VEJA Ready New Runner 2 Colorways
The two’s collaborative sneaker is arriving in rich brown, hot pink and calm gray.
Rick Owens and VEJA have been working together on sustainable, no-frills sneakers since 2019, and the two are back at it again with three new colorways of the popular Runner 2 silhouette. A low-cut, running-inspired sneaker, the Runner 2 features a stripped-back knit upper and a unique eco-friendly cork sole that’s crafted with a three-material combination of 39% cork, 31% rice waste and 30% Amazonian rubber.
In the past it’s appeared in everything from all black to an autumnal red, but here it’s done up in an elegant earthy brown with natural accents and a black sole, hot pink with gray accents and a gum sole and gray with white accents and a white sole. Signature details are served by large rubberized Vs on the lateral and medial quarter plus super-sized heel tabs, while tags on the sock-like collars add a little extra branded flair to complete each look.
All three new colorways of the Rick Owens x VEJA Runner 2 will release via the VEJA webstore and at retailers like Subtype on April 14. The MSRP is set at $405 AUD (approximately $309 USD). In addition, GOAT has pairs now if you missed out on the drop day.
