Nike Air Pegasus 83 "Stone" Offers Earthy Accents
And plenty of retro running style.

First introduced back in 1983, Nike‘s Pegasus running shoe line is a staggering 37 models deep today — but it’s always got some room for its very first silhouette, the Air Pegasus 83. A do-anything Nike Running sneaker that served as the launch point for the Swoosh’s longest-standing performance footwear franchise, the Pegasus 83 is now a beloved lifestyle favorite that recently appeared in a “Stone” colorway.
Simplicity and elegance are front and center on the “Stone.” Its quarters, throats and toeboxes are built from a smooth white nylon, while its mudguard, eyestays and heel clip are made from tan suede. Rich brown leather gets into the mix too, gracing the midfoot Swooshes and heel tabs. Further branding is provided by a Nike Air spellout on the heel and a Nike Sportswear-like hit on the fabric tongue tag. Down below, two-tone white and bone EVA foam midsoles work with black rubber outsoles to finalize the look.
The Nike Air Pegasus 83 “Stone” will release via Nike SNKRS Japan come April 12, and a stateside release will likely follow shortly thereafter. Its MSRP is set at a flat $100 USD.
