CLOT and Kangol's Latest Hat Capsule Is a Love Letter to '90s Hip-Hop

Emboldened with CLOT’s signature “Silk Royale.”

CLOT has reunited with Kangol for a capsule that pays homage to the golden age of hip-hop. This collaboration follows last year’s project that offered distinctive takes on some of Kangol’s classic silhouettes.

This capsule features five hats — two bucket hats, two baseball caps, and one Bermuda-style hat — imbued with vibrant colors and materials, like CLOT’s signature “Silk Royale.” Using a simple fisheye lens, CLOT highlighted each hat with images that liken to the nostalgic aesthetic of ’90s music videos. One noteworthy piece is a bucket hat made with red corduroy and white silk. The hat’s colors have been split right down the middle — white on the right side, red on the left — and cuts through Kangol’s logo, which weaves Kangol’s signature kangaroo motif with CLOT’s logo. The baseball cap follows a similar design, while the Bermuda hat sports a handful of geometric shapes colored in vibrant pastel tones.

CLOT and Kangol’s capsule will be available on March 3 on JUICE’s website — prices have yet to be confirmed.
