Prior to 2021, John Elliott‘s impact within the footwear industry was mainly evident through the field of collaborations via its Air Force 1 Low and several Icon colorways made alongside four-time NBA champion LeBron James. However, the Los Angeles-headquartered brand is now expanding its horizons in this space by gradually launching in-house models, the latest to appear being the Edition One Runner.
Aesthetically, sneaker carries a minimal-yet-striking design, which makes perfect sense in this context considering that many of the imprint’s clothes follow this same cadence. Low in stature, the lifestyle-ready runner and is crafted with mesh uppers backed by nylon, and is prepped with white calf leather accents, buttery “Ivory” suede paneling and smooth seam piping. Insoles are the loudest element of the kicks as they are created with kelly green backgrounds with stealthy John Elliott writing, and the thin heel mold that sits towards the bottom is glazed with a glossy black finish.
Down under, the Vibram sole is split into three parts that includes the TPU spoiler, an EVA foam midsole and rubber treading.
This White/Ivory installment is available now via John Elliott for $448 USD.
