As the holidays quickly approach, many are enjoying the surprise and wonder of advent calendars. But some that purchased Chanel‘s limited-edition $825 USD N°5 advent calendar are anything but happy.

Described as disappointing and overpriced on various social media platforms, many are sending backlash towards the luxury fashion house for the stickers and dust bags found in the holiday calendar. It is important to note that some bigger items of note include a bottle of Chanel N°5 perfume, lipstick and nail polish. Additionally, Chanel did state the contents of its N°5 advent calendar on its website for its customers.

“In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel smashed the codes of perfumery with N°5. A radical creation that revolutionized the traditions of its era. A design piece turned icon with an unmistakable bottle.

To celebrate the holiday season and mark 100 years of the legendary fragrance, CHANEL presents a first-of-its-kind calendar crafted in the timeless silhouette of the N°5 flacon. Count down to the holidays with this collector’s item featuring 27 boxes numbered from 5 to 31, filled with mysterious delights and surprises. A piece to treasure for years to come.”

Some TikTok users that shared their experiences with the N°5 advent calendar have gone on to launch claims that Chanel deleted its TikTok account as a result of the backlash on the social media platform. Chanel has gone on to deny the claim.

Chanel’s $825 USD N°5 advent calendar is now sold out on its website, but you can find an in-depth review of the limited-edition item below.

In case you missed it, Diddy is reportedly looking into purchasing Sean John as its parent company declares bankruptcy.
