ACRONYM Kicks Off “BE@RBRICK World Wide Tour 3”
This year’s tour features 100 top creators.
13 years after the duo’s first collaboration, Errolson Hugh has revealed a new ACRONYM x MEDICOM TOY BE@RBRICK as part of “BE@RBRICK World Wide Tour 3.”
BE@RBRICK World Wide Tour 3 is an event that exhibits figures designed by 100 of the world’s top creators using 1000% BE@RBRICKs as the canvas. The first BWWT was held from 2004 to 2007 across six cities, and the second tour was held in 2011. This year’s festivities are curated by Edison Chen and begin in Shibuya, Tokyo.
ACRONYM’s BE@RBRICK is dressed in distorted zebra prints with a red panel that runs across the right side of the face and across the shoulder. A raised ACRONYM shuriken motif is found on the back, and a speech bubble barcode and yellow ACRNM© text are printed on the backside of the leg. The overall design language is reminiscent of a pair of ACRONYM x Nike Air Presto Mids released back in 2018.
Hughes shouts out designer Mike Sunday for the vision and the creative agency RACE SERVICE for the project’s execution.
“BE@RBRICK World Wide Tour 3” started on December 4 and runs until December 9 at Omotesando Hills “Space O.” Find the full list of participating creators here.
