Official Images of the Nike LeBron 9 "South Coast"
The Lakers’ All-Star fashions his retro silhouette with pops of neon accents and palm-tree adorned interiors.

Since LeBron James‘ 17th year in the league, Nike has celebrated his storied footwear line with the introduction of his newest signature and retro releases of his model that debuted ten years prior. We saw it in 2019 with the LeBron 17 and LeBron 7, in 2020 with the LeBron 18 and LeBron 8 and now in 2021 we’re seeing the Swoosh deliver the LeBron 19 and the LeBron 9. For the LeBron 9 specifically, Nike has intentions of dropping modernized takes of the hardwood-ready offering, one being this brand new “South Coast” colorway that has just surfaced by way of official imagery.
The color palette of this hoops-ready iteration finds a healthy balance between neutral and neon. Most of the upper half is dialed to a solid black hue, and it comes accessorized with synthetic overlays that are splashed with an aquatic blue and Swooshes and crown-adorned heel badges that done up in a minty green. The interior lining is fashioned with a bright pink backdrop and features bold blue palm tree graphics — a possible nod to Miami and Los Angeles as these are two cities that King James has called home throughout his career. Additionally, the insoles are graced with an intricate, multi-colored crest.
No release date has been confirmed by Nike yet, but you can likely anticipate these to drop in the coming months.
