Del Taco Rolls Out Takis-Inspired Menu in Bakersfield, California
A trial run of four dishes infused with spicy rolled tortilla chips.

Up North of Los Angeles, Del Taco is testing out a Takis-inspired menu following its first initial trial run in Tustin, California.
The spicy rolled tortilla chips brand has been on the move lately as it launched its very own stackable potato chips as well as a joint effort with Old El Paso to debut Hot Chili Pepper and Lime-Flavored Stand ‘N Stuff Taco Shells just last month. The Del Taco branch in Bakersfield, California is now offering a lineup of four new menu items with all incorporating the iconic fiery snack.
First on the list is the Takis Double Del Cheeseburger which features Del Taco’s iconic cheeseburger stuffed with a load of Takis. The Takis Roller is a mound of Takis Fuego Rolled Chips topped with seasoned beef, ranch sauce and freshly grated cheddar cheese all rolled into a flour tortilla. The Mexican chain also came up with its own version of Nacho Fries dubbed as the Loaded Takis which coats the Takis Fuego Rolled Chips with seasoned beef, secret sauce, grated cheddar cheese, chopped cilantro, diced onions and sour cream. Lastly the Takis Grilled Chicken Burrito wraps the chips with grilled chicken, ranch sauce and grated cheddar cheese in a flour tortilla.
Further information on whether the menu will hit other locations stateside is yet to be announced.
Elsewhere in food, Burger King Canada launched a Franken Whopper in celebration of Halloween.
