Popeyes and Megan Thee Stallion Debut Merchandise and Hottie Sauce

Popeyes’ and Megan Thee Stallion’s collaborative Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce is now available as a dipping sauce for its new Nuggets or in Popeyes’ signature Chicken Sandwich. Adding her own flavor to the partnership, the launch includes a new sauce, Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce, and a merchandise capsule with bikinis, apparel, accessories and Popeyes chicken tenders plush dog toys.

This collaboration makes a special mark in Popeyes’ history, as it is the first time that the company will release a new variation of its iconic Popeyes Chicken Sandwich. Made with honey, cider vinegar and Aleppo pepper, the Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce is a new, complementary addition the brand’s authentic Louisiana chicken recipe. Inspired by Megan’s sassy personality, the musician worked closely with Popeyes’ culinary team to capture her essence in what’s described as a sweet, yet bold flavor with a hint of spice. Along with the Chicken Sandwich, the new sauce is also meant to be enjoyed with Popeyes’ nuggets.

To celebrate this collection, Popeyes x Megan Thee Stallion merchandise will be available through three exclusive releases. The first collection, called Thee Heat, will drop at 12 p.m. ET on October 19 on the brand’s website and feature a merchandise lineup that’s inspired by Megan’s Hottie-certified lifestyle. The collaboration is designed to keep Hot Girl Summer energy all year round with two additional merchandise drops that will occur during the month of November.

Popeyes and Megan Thee Stallion have also created a Western-inspired short film that brings the collaboration to life. Megan’s alter ego, Tina Snow, stars as the bandit who steals the Hottie Sauce, then Megan chases it from her hometown of Houston to Popeyes hometown of New Orleans to secure her sauce. It features an appearance by Megan’s French Bulldog 4oe, nail art by Coca Michelle, visual effects that tap into her love of anime by McFlyy, and costumes by Zerina Akers.

As part of the ongoing collaboration, Popeyes and Megan are making a six-figure donation to Houston Random Acts of Kindness, an organization that promotes empathy and compassion while encouraging selfless concern for the welfare of others in the local community. Megan, who inspires fans with her business acumen and community engagement, is also taking on a new alter ego as a Popeyes Franchise Owner.

The Hottie Sauce drops today, October 19, and Popeyes Rewards members will earn 100 bonus points when they order any eligible Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce menu items on the brand’s app or online.
