adidas Spezial Joins in With C.P. Company's "Cinquanta" Celebrations
Marking the affinity between the two brands and their fans.
After previewing the collaboration at its ongoing archive exhibition, C.P. Company has now officially unveiled its new project with adidas Spezial. The collaboration celebrates the Italian label’s 50th anniversary, as well as drawing on the natural affinity that exists between the two brands and their audiences.
The two-piece capsule features one footwear style and one piece of apparel. The footwear silhouette — the Italia SPZL — is an update of a 50 year old silhouette, which also feature references to other shoes of a similar era. The sneaker is constructed from white full grain leather, with green and red detailing and alternate branding from each brand. Finishing the design, the Spezial swing tag is embossed with C.P. Company’s sailor graphic.
Alongside the Italia SPZL, C.P. Company and adidas Spezial have reworked the Haslingden jacket, with a 1970s Italian camouflage print covering the item. The jacket has also been constructed from 50 Fili — a C.P. Company properietary fabric — while the hood has also been replaced with a design from the Italian label.
Take a look at both items — modelled by Manchester United footballer Luke Shaw — in the gallery above. The C.P. Company x adidas Spezial collaboration is due to release on October 14th, exclusively through C.P. Company flagship stores.
