This weekend, Demna Gvasalia‘s Balenciaga took Paris Fashion Week by storm with its Spring/Summer 2022 showcase that aired a customized episode of The Simpsons, seeing characters decked in the latest collection. As expected, footwear was a hot topic yet again this season, serving up a new pair of grungey Crocs – but for those that don’t want to wait so long, fear not, as Balenciaga has opened orders for its Spring 2022 Crocs boot.

Available in green, black, or grey, the Crocs boot comes straight from the house’s “Clones” runway collection and can actually be best seen in looks 16 and 18. Dubbed “Balenciaga Crocs 2.0,” the second official seasonal partnership with the brand follows on from its recently-dropped Crocs stilettos and the infamous platform pair from 2018.

Here, the classic clog is transformed into a wellington-style boot, seeing the full EVA construction extend from a bulbous and raised sole unit into the clog shape before turning into a boot, which would rise to around the middle of your calf in height. Of course, classic elements such as the rounded toe and holes appear on the shoe, however, the latter has been filled in for a subversive aesthetic.

Balenciaga’s moniker graces the top of the boot on the front and the outsole, while sizing has been debossed into the heel as per the brand’s signature design language that appears across its footwear line. The Balenciaga Crocs boot can be seen in all colors above and is available to buy from Balenciaga’s website now, where the shoe retails for $695 USD. The boot is also available regionally.
