Independent lifestyle store CROSSOVER is known for its bold take on individualism and self-expressionism. Collaborating with a like-minded artist, the Malaysian concept store teams up with photojournalist Stephen Shames to drop a statement-making collection “Power to the People”.

The collection features Shames’s award-winning images from his coverage on Black Panther, the acclaimed biggest threat to the United States’ internal security. Shames’s exclusive glimpse into the controversial organization as a white outsider lands a special place in the history of photojournalism, as much as it speaks volumes for realities in the street and underground.

The collaboration turns Shames’s work into t-shirts, pullovers, crewnecks and decks, spinning photojournalism into wearables and cleverly returning the power of the truth to the people just as the apt collab name suggests. Each product consistently retains a clean, sleek monotone design with Shames’s logotype or black-and-white photos taking centre stage. Prices range from RM169.90 to RM269.90. A true ode to fearlessness and equality, this rare collab is sure not to be missed.

CROSSOVER x Stephen Shames “Power to the People” collection launches on 1st October, now available at CROSSOVER in-store and online. A coinciding capsule exhibition is located at Crossover Sunway Pyramid store to showcase the full collection, starting from 1st to 31st October.
