The Weeknd, Drake, Ariana Grande and More Lead the 2021 AMAs Nominations

The 2021 American Music Awards on Thursday shared the full list of nominations ahead of the ceremony’s premiere on November 21.

Listed in the “Artist of the Year” category are Ariana Grande, BTS, Drake, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd. Rodrigo is also nominated for “New Artist of the Year,” alongside The Kid Laroi, 24kGoldn, Giveon and Masked Wolf. On the “Favorite Male Pop Artist” roster are Drake, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Lil Nas X and The Weeknd, while the “Favorite Female Pop Artist” lineup includes Grande, Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Rodrigo and Swift.

In the rap category, “Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist” nominees include Drake, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, Polo G and Pop Smoke, and “Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist” selections consist of Cardi B, Coi Leray, Erica Banks, Megan Thee Stallion and Saweetie. Notobaly, Ye — formerly known as Kanye West — is nominated for “Favorite Gospel Artist,” alongside Kirk Franklin, Koryn Hawthorne, Maverick City Music and Tasha Cobbs Leonard.

Voting for this year’s trophies will open at 9:30 a.m. ET on Thursday. Fans can cast their votes for all AMA categories on TikTok by searching for AMAs in-app.
