Moncler Launches Sustainable "Born to Protect" Outerwear
Using recycled materials and certified down.

Italy-based label Moncler has revealed the latest installment in its “Born to Protect” sustainability plan. The new capsule features jackets for men, women and children, all of which have been constructed using sustainable materials ranging from regenerated nylon to 100% DIST (Down Integrity System and Traceability) certified down.
The pieces in the “Born to Protect” capsule adhere to three of the five sustainable pillars the brand has previously announced. This includes a focus on climate action — through recycled materials used across the jackets — as well as a circular economy, from the use of Econyl nylon on fabrics and hardware, and fair sourcing, which is shown with the 100% DIST certification for all of the down used since 2015.
All of the jackets in the collection come in black, a color chosen for its universality to show that sustainability is for everyone. Moncler has also added its “Born to Protect” insignia on the exterior and interior, while the sustainable materials continue to the packaging made up of paper from responsibly managed forests and shopping bags and gift boxes including recycled paper.
Take a look at the sustainable pieces in the gallery above, and expect Moncler’s new “Born to Protect” capsule to arrive on the brand’s web store in the near future.
