Salomon Advanced's Shelter CSWP Will Take You Anywhere
Fitted with a fully waterproof inner bootie, insulation, a lightweight construction, and a rugged sole unit.
Parisian boutique The Broken Arm (TBA) and Salomon Advanced have a long-standing relationship that has produced numerous pairs of coveted sneakers over the years. Today, TBA has spotlighted Salomon Advanced’s new Fall/Winter 2020 sneaker, capturing it in all its rugged glory.
The Salomon Advanced Shelter CSWP is a silhouette that TBA holds as one of its favorites in the footwear brands’ roster. Speaking on the design, The Broken Arm said, “It is a functional shoe, made for walking that supports the constraints of high thermal amplitude. It can be worn in everyday life while also representing the escape that a mountain brand such as Salomon should symbolize.”
As you may have noticed from words such as “functional” and “high thermal,” the Shelter CSWP does come with a few tricks up its bootie. It’s designed to work best in cold weather environments, featuring a fully waterproof-protected inner bootie and light insulation to keep you warm. It’s made over a welded construction to reduce the weight, but is made stable thanks to the chassis system and rugged sole unit.
Salomon Advanced’s Shelter CSWP is function over form, but by no means is this pair an ugly duckling. Finished in black, the pair proudly boasts stamps of credentials such as “SoftShell” and “Climatherm,” while the advanced chassis can be finished in black or blue, giving you two options of collaborative sneakers to choose from.
