MEANSWHILE SS21 Will Prepare You to Return Outside
The Japanese brand has crafted accessible adventure gear.
First seen on the runways of Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo, MEANSWHILE‘s Spring/Summer 2021 collection is now framed in a stylized lookbook. The technical Japanese apparel brand has another round of high-spec goods prepped for the warmer seasons, including breathable outerwear, relaxed base layers and wide shorts.
Anchored by another round of collaborative Danner boots, MEANSWHILE’s SS21 offering is packed with clever layering pieces, including technical vests, collarless jackets and another wild Air Circulation System Rain Jacket with built-in fans.
Elsewhere, earth-toned knitwear, ghurka trousers and bucket hats inform the collection’s versatile palette, allowing the model to blend into the lookbook’s sandy background by stacking layers of olive drab, clay, mud and dust. There’s also a plethora of black cargo jackets, shirts, shorts to maximize effortless styling, while multi-purpose straps encourage wearers to layer up with pouches, wallets and glasses regardless of the temperature.
