Äkta Norr Pays Homage to English Heritage With Debut Collection

Äkta Norr is a Manchester-based menswear label that focuses on combining classic boxy outerwear with detailed characteristics. Priding itself on northern resilience, the brand presents its debut collection entitled “Made in England”, an ode to English heritage and contemporary designs.
Designed by London-based designer Mark Rigby, the collection works as a complete layering system. Designed to be worn alongside the other for a visibly layered look, smocks, shirts, utility vests and pants have been elegantly constructed by hand in the heart of Manchester.
Shades of “Midnight Blue”, “Natural Cotton” and black dress garments, while the brand’s utility vest — arguably the collection’s stand-out piece — arrives constructed from a premium Huddersfield wool.
