XIMONLEE and Reebok Ready New DMX Trail Hydrex and Zig Kinetica Horizon Edge Silhouettes
The conceptual takes on the DMX Trail Shadow and Zig Kinetica first appeared on Paris and Shanghai Fashion Week runways.
After XIMONLEE and Reebok‘s conceptual takes on the DMX Trail Shadow and Zig Kinetica were first spotted at previous iterations of Paris Fashion Week and Shanghai Fashion Week, the duo are now set to give their collaborative kicks a full retail release. Dubbed the DMX Trail Hydrex and Zig Kinetica Horizon Edge, each draws from recognizable Reebok silhouettes but adds a high-end, avant garde twist.
With a scuba boot-inspired top half and a recognizable DMX Trail Shadow midsole, the DMX Trail Hydrex is equal parts deep sea dive and backcountry hike, offering an appealing juxtaposition of a sleek, branded upper and a maximalist midsole with chromed-out accents. It’s dressed in a crisp combination of dark gray and burgundy, with touches of black and the aforementioned chrome getting in on the mix as well.
This trail running ethos is continued by two colorways of the Zig Kinetica Horizon Edge: one that offers up an oceanic mixture of blues and grays, another a simple yet stark black. Thin uppers are made of semi-translucent TPE material, and midsoles bolster Reebok’s responsive Zig cushioning with trail-ready tread.
The XIMONLEE x Reebok DMX Trail Hydrex and Zig Kinetica Horizon Edge are both set to release on the Reebok webstore come October 2, with retail prices starting at $160 USD.
