Sneaker Start-up Atoms Drops Model 000 in "Tie-Dye Blue" Colorway
Backed by big name investors ranging from Alexis Ohanian to Chamillionaire.

Footwear start-up and tech industry favorite Atoms has revealed a new colorway of its Model 000 silhouette. The sneaker has been dressed in a “Tie-Dye Blue” colorway inspired by the view of clouds against blue sky at the brand’s Brooklyn Navy Yard headquarters.
The tie-dye print has been created using a special sublimation technique and environmentally-friendly ink, with a recycled polester upper and recycled brass metal eyelets also reinforcing the sneaker’s sustainable credentials. Elsewhere, the sneaker features Atoms’ antimicrobial technology and comforting foam midsole.
Since it was founded by Sidra Qasim and Waqas Ali, Atoms has become a tech-industry favorite. So far, investors in the sneaker company include Alexis Ohanian (co-founder of Reddit), Chris Anderson (curator of TED Conferences), Jeff Weiner (exectuive chairman and ex-CEO of LinkedIn) and Jacqueline Novogratz of Acumen. Away from the tech industry, Atoms has also drawn investment from E-40 and Chamillionaire.
