The World's Last Blockbuster Will Offer Sleepovers on Airbnb
Offering one of a kind sleepover experiences.

For those that still look back fondly of the slumber parties of their younger years, the world’s last Blockbuster is now set to offer one of a kind sleepovers.
Store Manager Sandi Harding recently listed the iconic establishment on Airbnb for movie marathon fueled experiences. Limited to Deschutes County, Oregon residents, the listing is a token of appreciation for the local community that has shown the store so much support during this unprecedented time. It is important to note that Airbnb will be making a donation to the Humane Society of Central Oregon, a longtime partner of the store close to Sandi’s heart.
Starting August 17, the three, one-night stays will give guests an opportunity to experience an ’90s themed sleepover and relive the bygone Friday night tradition for just $4 USD (a penny more than a movie rental). Airbnb host Sandi will be preparing the shelves and ensuring the store has been cleaned in accordance with CDC guidelines and consistent with the Airbnb enhanced cleaning protocol for the September 18, 19 and 20 bookings.
Following final guests check out, customers will be invited to check out the living room space set up while adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines regarding social distancing.
For those that aren’t lucky enough to land a booking, Sandi notes that you can call the store’s number at +1 (541) 385-9111 to receive tailored movie recommendations. Staff will listen to what you like and don’t like to put together a custom list of movies to watch. Alternatively, the last remaining Blockbuster has a website with a range of merch that celebrates the rare video rental chain.
Head over to Airbnb to check out the listing and request to book one of the three sleepovers August 17, 1 p.m. PST.
