Flying Lotus Shares "Remind U" Visual
Taken from his latest full-length, ‘Flamagra.’
Flying Lotus has dropped off an accompanying music video for “Remind U,” taken from his latest full-length release Flamagra.
Directed by Winston Hacking, the visual revisits the world established in “Post Requisite” and sees the two exploring new depths once again. A deconstructed yellow submarine is the main focus of this visual as it rides through a “stream of consciousness video collage” garden of heightened surrealism. Hacking notes that the video “recreates the perspective of a curious child” as it creates a world that is “ugly and chaotic but, simultaneously, beautiful and hopeful.”
FlyLo recently celebrated the first anniversary of Flamagra with an instrumental deluxe version, featuring a Side B with the non-vocal versions of “Burning Down The House” with George Clinton, “Spontaneous” with Little Dragon, “Yellow Belly” with Tierra Whack, “Black Balloons Reprise” with Denzel Curry, “Fire Is Coming” with David Lynch, “Actually Virtual” with Shabazz Palaces, “Debbie Is Depressed,” “The Climb” with Thundercat, “9 Carrots” with Toro y Moi and “Land of Honey” with Solange.
