Bose Appoints Lila Snyder as Company's First Female CEO
Replacing former CEO Phil Hess.
American premium audio company Bose has just appointed Lila Snyder as its first female CEO, replacing Phil Hess who stepped down from the role earlier this year. Snyder comes from an experienced background as president of global e-commerce at tech company Pitney Bowes after having earned both a master’s and PhD in mechanical engineering at MIT, and was also a partner at consulting firm McKinsey & Company.
“We wanted the absolute best person, no matter how long the search took,” said Bose chairman Bob Maresca. “Lila’s background, experience, track record and values are right for Bose, for the exceptional people who work here, and for our amazing customers who count on us every day.”
Snyder also took to Twitter to express her excitement for taking on the new role. “Incredibly excited to join the team at Bose as the new CEO starting on September 1,” she said. “This incredible team has been creating products and experiences that make people’s lives better for over 50 years. Can’t wait to get started.”
