Long joined by shared Boston heritage, Concepts and New Balance are keeping it full Massachusetts on their latest collaborative effort: the 327 “Cape.” Inspired by Cape Cod, Mass’s famed cranberry bogs and the beloved vodka cranberry drinks they help produce — known as “Cape Codders” in local parlance — this new 327 is a bright homage to New England’s summertime lifestyle.

Undeniably vibrant in its build, the “Cape” features a full cranberry red nylon and suede upper. The midfoot’s large N logo is made of TPU and boasts a gradient back-print, with co-branded hits present on tongues and insoles alike. Trim EVA foam midsoles are done up in white with a dash of bright green that signifies the lime often found in the classic cranberry cocktail. Finally, a breezy blue transparent sole matches the collar’s lining and throat accents, bringing a modern touch to the heritage-inspired silhouette.

“[Concepts'] partnership with New Balance is constantly evolving. We’ve enjoyed bringing energy to new silhouettes, with the 327 grabbing our attention upon first reveal,” said Concepts Creative Director Deon Point.

The Concepts x New Balance 327 “Cape” will release exclusively via Concepts’ webstore and retail locations on August 7. It’ll then see a global drop on August 13. The MSRP is set at $140 USD.
