Take a First Look at Y-3's Orisan in Black
Hi-tech details for the avant-garde runner.
Y-3 has unveiled a brand new silhouette for Spring/Summer 2020. After releasing its YOHJI STAR & YOHJI PRO from back in February, the Yohji Yamamoto-helmed label has introduced yet another avant-garde footwear mold to this year’s lineup — Y-3 Orisan.
Starting at the top of the silhouette is bold “Y-3” branding embossed over a sleek neoprene tongue, followed by tonal waxed laces that cover the forefoot. The shoe comes with a white leather backstay with an elongated heel pull, matching the same tone as the thin streak at the upper body that runs parallel to the eyelets. Much of the uppers are constructed with semi-translucent batted mesh nylon, offering lightness and breathability to the hi-tech shoe. All of these details sit atop a crisp BOOST midsole, accompanied by an iced-out heel piece that’s been subtly debossed with the “Y-3” logo.
