SUMMER SONIC 2020 Replaced as Archival YouTube Concert
Featuring performances by Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Linkin Park, Metallica and more.

Much of the lineup for Japan’s SUPERSONIC 2020 festival has been either postponed or canceled amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but event planners have put together an alternate solution for those eager to hear live music this summer — “SUMMER SONIC 2020 ARCHIVE FESTIVAL.”
The entire festival will be held on YouTube as a string of past performances held at the annual event. A total of performances by eight bands and artist groups will be shown: Mr. Children (2013), BTS (2015), Linkin Park (2013), Metallica (2013), Arctic Monkeys (2014), The 1975 (2014), Underworld (2016) and Radiohead (2016). Among the lineup, only Radiohead and Underworld‘s sets will be streamed in their entirety. In addition, SUPERSONIC has launched crowdfunding in hopes of raising funds for future festivals.
