Lanvin Embraces Vintage Detailing With Low Top Trainers
Taking on ’70s design cues.

Lanvin is professing its affinity for vintage inspirations with a set of new Bumper trainers, a sleek silhouette imbued with distinctive materials and faded palettes that mimic the look of retro sneakers. The French luxury house has delivered three rich colorways — “Orange,” “Blanc Casse” and “Beige Orange.”
The silhouette’s uppers come with a mix of smooth nylon, suede and full-grain leather. Starting at the top of the shoe is a large woven tag, placed over a crisp white satin tongue. Delicate suede panels appear along the heel’s backstay, which rises above the collar to double as a sturdy pull tab, as well as the central overlay, covering the eyelets and running down to the edge of the toecap. Wide full-grain leather strips make up Lanvin’s “JL” logo on the sidewalls, while a geometric ’70s-inspired bumper is aptly fixed onto the rear quarter. All of these features rest over a front-tapering midsole detailed with intricate dyes that mirror scuff marks often found on old shoes.
Lanvin’s Bumpers are currently available on 24S’ website for $561 USD.
