As Black Lives Matter protests continue to take place across the U.S in the wake of the death of George Floyd, people have donated in their thousands to show their support in the fight against racial injustice.

For those who are unable to support the cause with monetary donations, American artist Zoe Amira has created a 56-minute YouTube video that allows watchers to fundraise in a different way, by utilising YouTube’s advertising. The video features music, poetry and artists from black creatives all over the world, punctuated by automated adverts. Amira will be donating 100% of the video’s advertising revenue to a selection of organizations supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.

American bail funds such as the Minnesota Freedom Fund, as well as Reclaim the Block and ACLU are among the organizations that Amira’s video will raise funds for. In order to contribute, viewers will need to ensure their ad blockers have been switched off and that they do not skip any adverts. Even if the video is on another tab playing in the background, funds will still be raised to help in the fight against racial injustice. You can view the video here.

For more on the #BlackLivesMatter movement, here’s how you can stay informed, vocal and safe.
