EARTHGANG Travels Psychedelic Landscapes in "Fields" Music Video
The third entry in the duo’s animated music video series.
Georgia duo EARTHGANG and Los Angeles-based Strangeloop Studios have already issued two color-drenched music videos for Mirrorland cuts: “LaLa Challenge” and “Avenue.” The third and final entry in the partnership is the clip for the Malik feature, “Fields,” which completes the loose plot introduced in earlier entries and serves up another dose of flashy visuals.
Naturally, one can enjoy the video without watching the prior entries, but watching the trilogy of animated videos in order showcases EARTHGANG’s journey through Mirrorland’s distinctive science-fiction landscapes dotted by colorful characters, bizarre creatures and futuristic buildings. The “Fields” video sees the troupe’s journey culminate in a forest, where an enormous android plugs in a giant robotic heart, sourced by the protagonists in an earlier escapade. Swirling light spots, a returning stopwatch motif and reflective caves are synchronized with the music, ranging from hazy horns to thumping bass hits.
