Neon Sign Goes Galactic With Graphic-Heavy SS20 Collection
Sleek warm-weather layers.
Neon Sign‘s Spring/Summer 2020 lookbook highlights an array of breezy layers for the warmer days ahead. This time around, the Japanese label has opted for a darkly muted color scheme, offering a range of galactic prints and subtle iridescent fabrics, alongside contrasting bright neon palettes. This collection follows last year’s SS19 lineup, which appeared to tread in the opposite direction with its bright colors.
Spanning quilted flight jackets, elongated button-ups, striped T-shirts, checkered shorts, hoodies, trousers and sweaters, one noteworthy piece is a boxy trench coat. It boasts a muted iridescent finish over a dark olive base, complemented by black buttons and brass hardware. The piece sees wide lapels and a slightly oversized frame that drops down past the knees. Those who prefer more of a fitted look can cinch in the waist with the piece’s belt strap.
Another highlight is a pajama-style button-up shirt, glossed with a colorful arrangement of stars and galaxies over a sleek black foundation. As a finishing touch, the garment sports thin white piping along the edges of the lapels and central closure, complemented by small white buttons. Other pieces like the brown satin pants, iridescent baseball cap and purple checkered shorts round up the expansive range.
Neon Sign’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection is currently available on the label’s website, ranging from $90 – $1,141 USD.
