KUON Previews Summer 2020 Lookbook Featuring Upcycled Archival Fabrics
Laidback sustainable pieces infused with Japanese craftsmanship.
KUON has just shared an early look at its Summer 2020 collection, in which the brand is putting its own spin on sustainability with a fully upcycled range. Sticking to its ethos of delivering quality Japanese craftsmanship, the label has infused the laidback assortment with prints and patterns that reference the culture throughout.
Items like crewneck T-shirts, shorts, and button-downs have been crafted of KUON’s archival materials, utilizing Sashiko techniques, Japanese paper, and more for the eco-friendly collection. Shades of blue, yellow, and green make up the bulk of the spring-ready color palette, while khaki cargo shorts and bucket hats offer neutral complements to complete the looks.

Many brands have striven for sustainability in recent seasons as climate change has increasingly become a pressing issue. Ahluwalia, for one, recently dropped an exclusive capsule at MATCHESFASHION, featuring the likes of upcycled silk pieces, patchwork basics, and reclaimed denim.
