British audio brand KEF has just launched its newest digital sound system, the EGG Duo Speaker. Aptly named for its unique silhouette, the oval-shaped device retains the signature properties of the brand’s other EGG models while updating the design with an exposed performance unit for a futuristic take.
The EGG Duo is offered in five colorways: matte black, red, ruby, cyan and green. On the front of the speaker, the usual mesh cover has been removed in order to switch up the look and simultaneously enhance the sound quality. The inside components, meanwhile, boast Uni-Q coaxial technology and KEF’s patented Music Integrity Engine to offer a powerful sound experience all-around.
KEF’s EGG Duo is supported via Bluetooth and can connect to multiple applications such as Netflix, Nintendo Switch, and Spotify, among others. The speaker is priced at $2,980 HKD (approxiamtely $385 USD) and is available exclusively at KEF Hong Kong.
Elsewhere in tech, Belkin recently teamed up with Devialet for a new hi-fi smart speaker and wireless phone charger.
