Bobby Raps Offloads Eerie Trap Cut "Believe the Lie"
Supplying a dystopian visual for the track.
Bobby Raps has been supporting a variety of hip-hop’s hottest talent for years, producing for the likes of Chief Keef, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, NAV, Corbin, and many more. Yet little known to many, the tastemaker also has an incredibly promising solo career, releasing a variety of albums over the past few years including his 2015 collaborative project alongside Corbin, Couch Potato. Today he’s dropped a brand new single titled “Believe the Lie,” supplying a dystopian visual for the cut.
Produced by The Roommates, the track is purportedly the lead single off of Bobby’s forthcoming project, 2 Scared 2 Care. On the song, he offloads his signature lyrical portraits, transporting listeners to his darkened, melancholic world. “No turnin’ back
Ain’t a long way from bar close/Sunrise on the rooftop like a gargoyle/Soul snatcher,” he raps over an eerie trap instrumental. The Alex Howard-directed visual furthers the track’s mood as clips of the countryside pit Bobby against a slew of gloomy backdrops, whereby various CGI effects showcase a variety of extraterrestrial characters.
